We have redesigned the corporate website of the forex company Tier1fx in collaboration with the branding studio Creatiqueand our development partners Brooktec. The business needs raised by Tier1fx required a much deeper intervention than a simple restyling, so the project involved applying current design methodologies such as agile development, design systemsand user-centred design. After our collaboration we are very clear that this is only the first step in the digital reinvention of our client.
Tier1fx is a leading company specialising in guiding investors in the conventional foreign exchange market. This market is the largest and most liquid in the world, with a daily trading volume in excess of $5 trillion. Tier1fx's support is mostly onlineand subdivides its services into three sub-categories and products to best suit the organisational profile of the investor.
Needs for change
Symbiosis monetary
Luckily, at Secuoyas we have extensive experience in this type of transformation, having previously worked with organisations such as ACNUR or Centros Único, and the added value we could bring to the project was soon recognised by Tier1fx's management. We formed a team in which the client joined the duo of product designers, specialising in analysis, user experience and visual design. Secuoyas also provided the organisational frameworks, the work environment and the communication tools to get everything rolling and define, together with the rest of the collaborators, a realistic publication date and thus meet the business objectives.
Transactions and experience
The new corporate website had to clearly communicate the differential value of Tier1fx in a very competitive market. An extensive benchmarking of companies in the sector was carried out, reaching a consensus regarding the final list of best practices to be adopted and the differentiation opportunities to be covered. The product design team was in charge of getting to know the internal reality of the company, working hand in hand with the Tier1fx product owner. This crystallised in a modular interface, custom designed to solve the problems of future users.
The redesign of the branding was a need for improvement that was initially detected and was resolved before the product design project started. The resulting new visual identity is fully in line with their business expectations and facilitated the subsequent digital development.
Therefore, the look and feel was kept true to the branding definition, but enhanced for the digital medium. The use of a main palette and 3 sub-brands was implemented coherently in a responsive multi-device design.
A design system was created that transcended the project itself and could be used in future applications, improving efficiency and maintaining coherence throughout the company's digital image.
We used wordpress as a content management system, but we took it a step further by using adapted structural techniques that allowed maximum customisation of the product, such as advance custom fields, and custom posts. In addition, other tools such as srcset were used to ensure responsive images, css animations and integration with Lottie.
In order to orchestrate all the work, we established a SCRUM work process, with weekly sprint cycles, until the final closure. These short cycles allowed for synchronisation of all parties involved. Daily rituals were performed in-house, and visibility of dependencies and bottlenecks was increased with constant and transparent communication between the parties.
A great investment
We are happy with the result and we are proud to have the client's recognition and to have forged a great relationship with the product owner after getting to know us better.
We believe we have provided enough tools to continue to grow and dazzle in the world of foreign exchange and of course we wish them all the best in their new journey.
