Months of collaboration

Working closely with ECIJA has been vital to ensure that deadlines were met and that the product was of the expected quality.

Modules and components

They can be combined, rearranged and adjusted to any device or screen, achieving a fresh, modern and elegant result.

17

Sites created

Maximum international reach, with simultaneous deployment in multiple countries.

The client

ECIJA is an international legal and tax services firm, with a network of offices in more than 15 countries. Its multidisciplinary approach and international vocation have positioned it as a leading player in constantly evolving markets.
With sustained growth in recent years, ECIJA faced a common problem among large groups: a fragmented digital identity, with multiple sites managed autonomously, visually and technically misaligned.

The challenges of the project

The main challenges of the project were:

  • Designing a centralised platform to serve as the basis for 17 connected websites.

  • Balancing global identity with local customisation for each office.

  • Facilitating autonomous editorial management, without compromising brand consistency.

  • Establishing a secure, distributed governance model across sites.

  • Unifying user experience, key content and technical structure under a single solution.

One of the key points was to design a unified experience that would work as well in Madrid as in Santo Domingo, without losing identity or control.

The approach

Strategic design and modular ecosystem. At Secuoyas we led an integral redesign process with three key pillars:
Drag

Research

We conducted workshops with stakeholders from different locations while conducting an audit of the existing content architecture, followed by a competitive analysis and interviews to understand the sector and all its needs, both external and internal.

Design and implementation

Development of a modular design system, adapted to the institutional tone but flexible for each country. Common navigation architecture with local customisation levels. Development of 17 connected sites, all managed from a single Griddo instance.

Management and evolution

We trained the team in the use of the platform, providing a system of roles and permissions to facilitate autonomy without losing control, optimizing it for future scalability.
ECIJA facilities

The result

ECIJA not only solved a technical need, but also positioned itself as a firm prepared for the digital future.
It strengthened its global positioning, as well as its ability to attract talent and clients to compete in an increasingly digital industry.
This project demonstrates that technology and strategic design can become a lever for real business transformation, especially in sectors where trust, clarity and reputation are everything. The project also helped to identify which of the functionalities and services offered by ECIJA were essential, which were dispensable and which needed to evolve. Having a holistic view of all of ECIJA's interaction channels was essential to integrate all of the company's data into a single web experience.
Comillas Web Redesign Griddo

A visual language: usable, elegant and with character

Taking into account the results and the client's requirements, we redesigned the multi-site with a balance between these factors:

1. Usability

as a basis: intuitive and accessible interfaces.

2. Elegance

as a language: clean, professional and coherent design.

3. Disruption

as a signature: details that differentiate without losing functionality.

More than a visual redesign

An ecosystem that meets the needs of all users, internal and external.
Drag

Modernisation of the corporate image

ECIJA's image needed to be modernised to reflect its current values and objectives, as well as needing a unified brand, where the tone, design, experience and content were under one solid identity.

Web architecture

The existing website lacked an efficient and user-friendly structure, which affected the user experience and ease of navigation.

Simplified technical management

Griddo, a single system to maintain, scale and evolve the entire ecosystem, with a design and editing system that meets the needs of internal and external users.

Improving performance

Optmization of slow load times and Core Web Vitals, improving user satisfaction and positioning in search engines and AI agents.

A design system

Designing for the mobile experience first

At Secuoyas we design with a Mobile First approach, thinking first of the mobile experience, where most of the web traffic occurs. This forces us to prioritise content, optimise navigation and guarantee fast loading.

Only then do we adapt to desktop, ensuring consistency and scalability. The result: platforms that are more agile, clear and efficient on any device.

In addition to improving the user experience, this approach favours SEO and reinforces the digital brand image.

We design with a focus on the essentials

We worked closely with the ECIJA team to define a design system that balanced the institutional character with the proximity of each local office. The navigation architecture, key contents and specific integrations were designed under a global-first approach.

Technology and design

In the service of legal expansion
This project is an example of how a well thought-out digital architecture can accompany the growth of a global brand without losing flexibility or local personality. The result: digital experiences that function, communicate and leave a mark.

Griddo, a solution with guarantees of scalability

At Griddo, we designed a customised solution based on our transversal content management technology. We created an ecosystem of 17 interconnected sites, under the same modular and flexible architecture, which allows:

  • Visual and technical consistency, maintaining a coherent brand identity.

  • Editorial autonomy for each country or headquarters, being able to adapt content, news and local team.

  • Centralised evolution, allowing new functionalities to be scaled transversally.
