The Case:
BBCs Bitesize Key Stage 1 website aims to help students aged 5-7, along with their parents and teachers, prepare for their final assessment by using 20 interactive games, covering both literacy and numeracy.
Strategic solution:
Secuoyas created three different characters and 20 different scenarios and game-plays to ensure enough variety for each learning outcome.
Slapstick humour with colourful scenery and clearly narrated instructions are the keys to engage children without putting any pressure on them. Coupled with a made-to-measure soundtrack for each game and complete voice-overs, the site is now one of BBC Schools most successful primary sites, with visitors spending on average double the time than on other BBC KS1 games.
Additionally, a printable worksheet was made for every game, so teachers and parents could take these resources offline.
